Just a 2 kilometres from Autserlitz, the Utrechtse Heuvelrug raises - the white house (named "Berghuis" lies on the summit of a road tht climbs steadily - about 15 meters in a few hundred meters

08-Pyramid * Napolean troops that were encamped near Austerlitz needed something to do - and they built a piramid; The tower on top is an addition of much later days. The pyramid has been restored only a few years ago, but even today it's not entirely certain how the French soldiers were able to keep the slopes together. * 1984 x 1488 * (295KB)
