One of the nature reserves we passed by
01-ChestnutTrees * Starting near the church in Pannerden, a good view on two old chetnut trees (Most are infected with a kethal desease but these seem unharmed - yet) * 1305 x 1389 * (371KB)

02-Doornenburg * The Doornenburg castle, seen from the road to the first ferry. It stands miles way! * 1984 x 1488 * (361KB)

03-BridgeToFerry * Thr bridge to the ferry crosses old foreland, and it functions as a kind of shelter for the horsen below * 1982 x 702 * (151KB)

04-FerryCrossing * The ferry named Willem crossing the Pannerden Kanaal - dug almost 300 years ago * 1984 x 1128 * (288KB)

05-FortPannerden * Pannerden Fortress as seen from the Northwest - from the mainland it should protect. * 1623 x 594 * (91KB)

07-RiverBeach * Crossing the Rhine to the Millingerwaard - another nature reserver, with the second ferry, We landed near this 'beach' * 1984 x 1488 * (453KB)

08-PeekingTheRiver * The path followed the river downstream, and you could peek to the river and the beaches trough the trees * 1984 x 1488 * (624KB)

09-Wilderness * The other side is wild terrain - a lot of bushes and shrubs. * 1984 x 1488 * (578KB)

10-Claypit * An old claypit - we just paseed an abandoned brick factory - now a wetland * 1984 x 1488 * (271KB)

11-Deposits * Clay deposits to form new terrain, in the distance (we should get near that point later on) * 1978 x 924 * (169KB)
