That night is stayed rather dry and the forecast for the day was good, so Günther would take us on a somewhat heavier walk: We would drive to a parking place about half up the Jenner on the Northern side, and walk to the summit, traversing the west and south slopes and climb up from there to the top station of the JennerBahn, 76 meters below the summit in the Eastern side. On the top, you would have tremendous views of the Königssee and Berchtesgadener Land. We returned following the road on the Eastern side, ending up on the route we took on our way up, near the middle station. So effectively, we rounded the Jenner. Kasper and Edwin took the Jennerbahn a few days later and walked up Jâgerkreuz, and stumbled back along the Jennerbahn...Why take the road if you can shorten your way down?
