| Passing the castle (palace) of Estergom, we could keep close to the river, at Domos so close that we could take a look at the bank itself. Closer to Budapest, the route diverted from the main road and ran really close to the river - so close it will be flooded when the level of the river is a few feet higher - paved through woods in the floodlands. Crossing the river by ferry to the Danube isalnd, another ferry to Szentendre, along the river to the Maritziget island (recreation area) and then to the campsite in the middle of living area. |
