Harz

The last day, we made a guided tour following the former boundary between the (Communistic) GDR and the (capitalistic) GBR, with guides from both sides: A former (Western) Costums agent, and the current mayor of the village once on 'the other side of teh fence'. The second part of this day was a ride with the Harzer Schmallspur Bahn - a narrow gauge railway that is kept running - officially - because of it's value for the neigbourhood.
