Trekvogelpad: Maarn – Amerongen – Rhenen – Ede – Otterlo

This is one of the long-distance paths that cross the Netherlands, from the Western shores (Bergen aan Zee (North of Amsterdam)) to the Eastern, German Border (Enschede), taking one large bend over Utrecht and Apeldoorn: a distance of 380 kilometers in all. We did two nearby stages: Maarn to Amerongen, and Rhenen to Ede, both about 20 kilometers. We missed out the part between Amerongen and Rhenen – about 10 kilometers – due to time constraints. But it’s near home so we’ll do that some other time.
Two weeks after that, we walked from Ede to Otterlo – 23 kilometers in rainy weather. Most of the track was through woodland, and due to the grey weather, I didn’t take my camera. But I tracked the route.

Pictures of Maarn-Doorn can be seen here, and these are the ones of Rhenen-Ede. The tracks are available iin the different formats: Maarn-Amerongen (Garmin, GPX or CSV) and Rhenen-Ede (Garmin, GPX or CSV format).
Map and projection of the third walk: from Ede to Otterlo, can be found here, and these are the tracks in Garmin, GPX or CSV)
