We started the trainstation in Maarn, crossed the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, through the woods, to Doorn - an artist's village. Here the German Emperor Wilhelm I spent his days in exile after the First WorldWar. From there, we traversed the Utrecht riverlands along straight roads to the Dyke near Amerongen. A short detour brought is straight in front of Amerongen Castle. Due to time constraints, we couldn't make it all to Rhenen
