| Being near the city of Assisi, of course that was a place to go.Of course we visisted the San Francesco, for us it was more a cultural event but for many others the church means the destination of their pelgimage. The church of San Francesco may be the biggest attraction, there is more to see. The town itself is large enough to make the masses dissolve. Though the number of tourists and pelgrims is similar to the numbers in Volterra and Gimignano,, it's less crowded. Fun part of the city is the sudden glimpses aside: allies, stairways and arched views. |
