All operating systems supported by HP are part, and only two of these have automated failover built-in - without anything extra - OpenVMS and NonStop. HP-UX, Windows and Linux have to rely on extra hard- and software.
What's most impressive it the timespan of failover: only 15 seconds for OpenVMS - and if the engineers would have had more time to improve the configuration, failover could have cpompleted within 5 seconds....
