Rondom Amersfoort - first two walks
| The town of Amersfoort existed 750 years this summer, and the celebrartion included a tour of 6 walks of 10 km each, following the boundaries of the parish of the town, adjacent to eachother; but you could chooses which ones to walk - and in what order. The registration centre was in Schothorst park, and walkers were transferred to their starting point by bus, and returned by the same means of transport from their last walk. We walked the first two routes, in the polder named Zieldert, Northeast of the city, to it's Southwestern borders with Soest. No images taken, just the tracks are displayed. However, the route cannot be followed because most of the walk was over terrain that is normally closed for public access - just open for this occasion. |
