and way in the distance, the forth of them all: the uper one (Bovenmolen). This is called Molenviergang - four mills pumping. Still at work for their purpose!

05-Putmolen * Near Aarlanderveen, there ar 4 mills still working to pump water out of the polder. THis is the most recent one, pumping up over 3 meters. At this point, the water leven is over 5 m below sealevel! * 1347 x 1275 * (91KB)

06-Onder_MiddelMolem * Two of the other ones, the forth fading in the mist. Each can pump water up for about 1 meter. In front is the lower mill (ondermolen), the second the middle one (middenmolen) -- * 1890 x 1392 * (174KB)
