Starting from another location than we ended before this walk went from Mittelheim, to Kiedrich, where the route in the booklet would go back to the river - but we kept to the route and headed to Rauhentahl. Getting there proved a bit troublesome since the directions in Kiedrich were not very clear. Finally we found where to go, starting with a short track uphill - meaning stairs and steep, uphill paths - but fairly even one on top. Our bikes were parked in Rauhenthal, end on our way back, downhill, the doggy cart tipped a ramp and turned on it's side - no harm to the dog, physically. However, she refused to sit down on the rest of the (rather quiet) ride back.
