North of Garderen, there has been a area of drift sand - and just outside the villages, the dunes have been plated - with beech trees. On top of these, the roots have been unearthed iduring times.

14-Uitzicht * From the top, looking into the lower area - densly replanted in recent years * 1488 x 1984 * (610KB)

15-Nest * A hawks nest in Larix, somewhat off the road. * 1602 x 1080 * (480KB)

16-Larixbos * A patch of larix - and these are open forests, aand very light when the trees don't carry needles. * 1984 x 1488 * (797KB)

17-Beukenbos * This is why these woods carry the name of the trees dancing. Image walking here, in the dark, with just a lit torch or lantern.... * 1984 x 1488 * (780KB)

18-Beukenbos * The open woodland as in any beeach forest. Now light, but quite dark in summer. * 1984 x 1488 * (659KB)
