Regular maintenance
Of course, on 02-Feb-2012 the job for regular, monthly maintenance has run – flawlessly, and it offers the mail statistics for January:
PMAS statistics for January
Total messages : 2435 = 100.0 o/o
DNS Blacklisted : 421 = 17.2 o/o (Files: 30)
Relay attempts : 69 = 2.8 o/o (Files: 30)
Accepted by PMAS : 1945 = 79.8 o/o (Files: 31)
Handled by explicit rule
Rejected : 1264 = 64.9 o/o (processed), 51.9 o/o (all)
Accepted : 285 = 14.6 o/o (processed), 11.7 o/o (all)
Handled by content
Discarded : 67 = 3.4 o/o (processed), 2.7 o/o (all)
Quarantained : 291 = 14.9 o/o (processed), 11.9 o/o (all)
Delivered : 38 = 1.9 o/o (processed), 1.5 o/o (all)
Nothing really weird. The number of accepted messages seems quite low, but my estimate is that local mail (sent on Diana to a user on the system) bypasses PMAS and so it’s not counted. This holds, for instance, for all messages sent by the T4=software. The vast majority of rejected messages is casino and job proposal spam.
