CommunigatePro Configuration 1

General

Domain Name Services

When the program starts in administrator mode, select General, and you will see:

The first time, it will show the domain the machine is in installed on, belongs to. To change it, follow the con figuration for domains.

For the moment, leave it.

At start, the only DNS resolvers known are the machine itself (127.0.0.1) and, if the machine is set up using DHCP, possibly what DHCP has specified. I have my own, so I set things up:

Go to Settings, Obscure, and you can specify the DNS resolvers in your network. I've an internal one, and the router on the edge (and that one has links to my ISP's DNS servers) so I added those:

Use CUSTOM in box DNS Addresses to add them manually in the box (as I did), or choose OS-Speecific to use the ones known in the system.

It may take time to update DNS if you don't specify a resolver!

Limit access

To prevent break-in on the network, and be able to relay local clients only, go to Network and set all internal addresses as client:

and, to be able to access the applications from anywhere on the web, be sure to have "Allow Mobile Users to Login" checked. Otherwise access will be rejected!
