A few updates
To start with the easy one: getting into the administrator page of the Bootcamp 2008 blog (running on WP2.3.3) it is mentioned the version is outdated and I should upgrade. The next version is 2.5 – which was already present on the system. A simple chnage of the logical, referrring the 2.5 base directory in stead of the 2.3.3 one, and re-installation of the theme was sufficient got have the blog running on 2.5. So version 2.3.3 can be removed.

A second change was a bit more troublesome but that was entirely my own error: A new version of the WASD webserver was released a few days ago, and I’m a bit behind (well, I was still running on 9.2 and decided not to install 9.2.1 – too much of a hassle for a really minor change. Today, I found it was time to upgrade. In itself, it is no problem at all, only the mail agent didn’t work and I couldn’t find out why – until I realized I had set protection pretty strong. In the end it turned out that the mail program wasn’t installed properly – or not at all. After I ran the normal proceduere that is used in starting up the system, all works well.

I would have made another homepage but due to these problems, it’ll have to wait.

I will install a number of VMS patches soon. One is needed to do developments – DEBUG was borken by SYS7…
